How do I enable an external module or request an external module be enabled?

Note that only certain modules can be enabled by users and we have limited external modules we will enable for users. This is due to the nature of a module being supported by an individual who created it. Therefore, if a module becomes unsupported, it can cause issues within a single project or the entire REDCap database.

For modules that are available, go to External Modules in the left hand menu and

1. Select “Manage” to the right.

2. Click View Available Modules.

Modules that the user can enable will have an “Enable” button to the right. Other modules will have a Request Activation button that you must press and have a REDCap administrator enable the module.
