When setting up an Automated Survey Invitation (ASI), how do I set an email address for invitation delivery for each record?
You will first need to create a field with email validation
Then go to the Project Setup and select “enable” next to Designate an email field for communications (including survey invitations and alerts)
Select the field name from the drop down that appears:
This field can appear anywhere on the project as long as email address is entered into the field before the ASI is triggered. For example, you might have a “Contact Information” on a baseline visit event that has the email address. Then, an ASI is triggered 2 weeks after baseline to send follow up surveys. If the email field on contact information has been designated for communications, this is the address where the ASI will be delivered.
If there is no email field designated for email communications, or the email address has not been entered for a record before the ASI is triggered, the ASI will fail to send.
