Add equivalent specimens0

You can add equivalent specimens to a specimen requirement if the collection event of that specimen requirement has a coincident event. To add an equivalent specimen for a specimen requirement, search for the desired study using Search a study and select the specimen requirement.


System displays Edit specimen requirement page. Select Add equivalent specimens button.



System displays a pop-up where the selected specimen requirement is checked and tree structure for the associated study is displayed. The coincident event for the collection event in which the selected specimen requirement lies is expanded by default. Check boxes are displayed for all the specimen requirements (in the coincident collection event) of the associated study


From the tree structure in associated study, select the check-box beside the specimen requirement that should be added as equivalent specimen for the selected specimen requirement in the main study. For example, in this case, select a specimen requirement from Screening collection event of study 10603 which will become equivalent specimen for 5 ml Bone marrow Aspirate (Green Top) specimen requirement of study 10600.
After selecting the equivalent specimen, select Save button.

System adds the specimen requirement from associate study as equivalent to the specimen requirement from main study. One specimen requirement from main study may have any number of equivalent specimens. However, from one associated study, only one specimen requirement may be made equivalent to a specimen requirement from main study.
Select Submit button in Edit specimen requirement page and then select Save study button.
