Logging a specimen0

Logging a specimen means recording that you have collected a specimen for a particular patient The first step in this task is to search for the patient.

Start by searching for a patient. Select Log specimens in the sidebar Tasks panel or Patients in the Search panel to display the Patient search screen.


Follow these instructions at the top of the screen: Use drop-down list below to select Registration ID, Patient initials or Study ID. As you start typing the search criteria system displays suggestions that contain the search criteria that you entered. From list of suggestions, select the desired value and select Search button.
The Patient search results screen appears.

Follow these instructions at the top of the screen: Select the patient initials to view Specimen checklist for that patient.
