Add alternate specimen0

When CRA collects specimens from a patient, in absence of a desired specimen, he/she may collect any other specimen that is added as alternate to it. To add an alternate specimen to a specimen requirement, select the desired specimen requirement from the tree structure and navigate to Alternate specimens section and select Add button.


System displays Add alternate specimen screen for the selected specimen requirement. Add the details related to alternate specimen and select Submit.

System adds an alternate specimen to the selected specimen requirement and tree structure is updated to display the alternate specimen

After selecting submit, select Save study button. You may add any number of alternate specimens to a specimen requirement. All of them are displayed in the tree structure as well as in the Alternate specimens section of that specimen requirement.


Only when you select the Class as Molecular, system activates the concentration field. Enter a value for concentration and follow the other steps mentioned above to complete adding a specimen requirement
