Available onboarding services

After selecting “Request New Storage,” you will need to complete the form before your Storage allocation can be activated. While most fields and options are self-explanatory, some can cause confusion. These are explained below.

Please ensure the form is completed to the best of your knowledge.

Storage Tier

For this option, please select the storage tier (Active or Archive) that you’d like to activate service for. The differences between each storage tier are outlined on our website.

5 TB of free storage is available per faculty.

Storage Billing

  • Billed every month for the storage that is consumed, not allocated. This applies to both the Active and Archive service tiers.

  • Annual and per-project billing arrangements are available to meet grant requirements.

  • Rates may be subject to change annually from 3% to 5%

  • If you will be consuming more than 5 TB of storage, the rates for storage above 5 TB are available on the Data Storage Platform rate sheet.

  • A Workday Cost Center number is required for billing to ensure the correct department is billed for storage consumption. Your PI or Head of Department should know this number.

Please visit our website for more information about the RIS Data Storage Platform.
