    Clusters:

    RIS currently maintains two compute clusters: Compute1 and Compute2. Below are the links for the quick start guides for both clusters:

    Compute1 Cluster (Retiring July'27)

    Compute2 Cluster

    Please note Compute1 cluster is currently in maintenance and is scheduled to end service in July 2027. Existing users are requested to migrate their application to the compute2 cluster.

    Requirements:

    • VPN (For off campus access)

    • Terminal Access

      • Windows: PowerShell or downloaded software like PuTTY or MobaXterm

      • Mac: Terminal (Under Utilities)

      • Linux: Terminal

    The SFTP browser in MobaXterm opens a new SSH connection for each action taken, which can result in a large number of Duo 2FA notifications for some workflows. RIS is aware and looking into mitigations/fixes.
